Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American actor, singer and writer. Sara Ramirez was raised with her American mother. She encountered a number of racial slurs that made her feel unwelcome. In the 9th grade, she felt more confident when she was applauded by her teachers for singing at a school's audition. It not only boosted her confidence but also shifted her goals for the future. The most notable accomplishment of her career occurred when she played The Lady Of The Lake in Spamalot's original Broadway production. Not only did she get the Tony Award, but her performance was also praised by the critics. Later that year, as Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy on ABC the show, she received more fame.
