Ina Garten is an acclaimed American cook book writer and Emmy Award-winning host on Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa which began in 2002 and aired 27 seasons until 2020. Ina started her career as a writer for the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget and other policy papers. Ina initially enjoyed the intellectual rigors that came with her work, but she quickly stopped her the interest. Instead she bought Barefoot Contessa, a specialty store for food. After more than 18 years of making her business a massive success, she sold it, and then began creating her first novel. Several other books and newspaper articles were published. Her Food Network television program also was launched and soon became a hit. Additionally, she sells items ranging from food ingredients to storage containers and tools. Ina is an aspiring cook who has never gone to a cooking academy or employed in an kitchen. Her relaxed approach to entertaining and her straightforward culinary style is widely known. Her best-known recipes include Skillet Lemon Chicken roasted by Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & cheese Beef Bourguignon. Balsamic-roasted Brussels Sprouts, Lemon Bars as well as Mac and cheese.
