Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American designer and author who has won numerous awards for her writing and design. She has been a vocal advocate for human rights for animals. She has been acclaimed for films like Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969), and The Getaway, (1972). New York was her home and she grew up in an artistic environment. While working as a photographer's assistant then she turned her attention to modeling and acting. Her two first films got noticed and earned her recognition with the Golden Globe Award of Most Newcomer of the Year. MacGraw's 1970 movie Love Story was an international success, earning the actress the Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. After only three movies, she was voted the Top female debut at the box office worldwide. In 1972, her foot-prints as well as autograph was engraved on the wall of Grauman's Chinese Theater. She has starred in several other movies, including The Getaway Convoy Players and the miniseries on TV The Winds of War among other. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography by her, was released. MacGraw was married to three individuals.
